Parent Guide to Preventing and Addressing Bullying and Intolerance
Dealing with bullying is a delicate and complex procedure. The Not In Our School (NIOS) Parent Guide for Preventing and Addressing Bullying and Intolerance highlights what you—as a parent—CAN DO when your child is a victim of bullying. Acting rashly or not acting at all will do nothing to help your child, and this guide gives concrete and specific ideas on the best way to approach a very sensitive situation.

CA Vs. Hate ~ Report It
All victims and witnesses of hate incidents and hate crimes can report and are eligible for free hotline support services. California vs Hate is not affiliated with law enforcement, and you can report anonymously.
CDSS Grant Details
CAIC – and our community partners have focused their efforts on populations with intersectional marginalized identities and other factors that increase their risk for experiencing bias and hate crimes, including Black/African Americans, Native American, Latinx, LGBTQ+, religious minorities, and people with disabilities.
Work Plan
STH grant funds will empower our CAIC and local community to grow in size, diversity, and composition, including law enforcement participation, to provide cultural input, develop a long-term strategy and implement ongoing services.
Budget
CAIC will lead efforts in primary and secondary prevention programs identified in the STH Work Plan for the general public in Chico and Oroville. This collaborative position will plan, develop, implement and support programs that deepen understanding and empathy through social events, public displays, and educational opportunities that unite our community.
